Change is coming to America... Maybe

To shoe or not to shoe?
I hadn’t heard about this. I say, more monuments to the shoe throwers out there. This guy was given way too much of a free hand and no accountability, a shoe should have been the least of his worries. Yet the republicans this week unanimously voted against President Obama’s economic stimulus plan, and the media was headed towards calling it, “the Obama recession.” I digress. Blackwater, weapons of mass destruction, mission accomplished, outing of a covert CIA agent… The list can go on and on, maybe I’ll post my views in a later post. Right now my fingers are cramped.
Listen to Mike Malloy. He’ll let it all out for you, truthseeker. Time for some liberal indignation. I’m angry and I wanna throw a shoe.
Burgers
I had a craving for burgers tonight and the girlfriend and I went to “La Paryse” on Ontario and St. Denis. Friendly owner who takes your order and juicy burgers makes it a win. Check it out if you’re in Montreal. Be warned, it’s a tiny place and the hallway is a cramped space. A+

Cult of Apple
Obama's effort on foreign policy early in his administration
I forgot what it was like to have a man of considerable intellect as president. While still towing the line on Israel, he does show a capacity for nuance considerably greater than his predecessor, whom I am convinced was overwhelmed with the job from day 1; or maybe did not possess the verbal kung fu to express himself. Either way, language is important, it's how one sees the world and understands it, what the united states has now is not the gruff and simplistic view of an ultra-christian, trust fund graduate, but someone who seems to have earned it. We'll see in the coming months, so far it looks bright.
Don't you agree? Montreal Considers Ban On Insulting Police.
I can honestly say that I'm behind this proposal. I was always taught to respect police officers and show a modicum of appreciation for the job they're doing. While it is true that unfairness and profiling and other such negative aspects of law enforcement are present, it doesn't negate the fact that are working for us and keeping us safe. I never understood the disrespect shown to cops, it speaks to the culture of entitlement we live in. Either that or drunks like to pick on cops, which to me, puts one squarely in the "asshole" category, along with people who leave unfunny messages on their voicemail or stand in front of the door in the metro.

Welcome to the revolution
Why shouldn’t I have a blog too? Should this work out it would be a collection of things that interest me, and hopefully you, valued reader. If it doesn’t, then this will be the only post and I will have failed at being a self-righteous blogger-type asshole. It’s a win/win.
Be careful on the internet. Happy surfing.
